The Simserhof is one of the most important artillery works on the Maginot Line, the line of French fortification and defense built along the borders with Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany and Italy during the 1920s and 1930s. This journey allows you to discover it and dive into history and learn more about the conflicts that affected this area during the Second World War.

Description

Throughout the walk, follow the red ring markup.

From the car park, go to the Simserhof building before turning right on the path marked with a red ring.

Access and parking

From Bitche, take the D35 towards Sarreguemines, then the D620 in the same direction. Turn left to catch the D35 towards Légeret then turn right towards the Simserhof.
