From Schönau, the tour leads on a flat asphalt cycle path to the border community of Hirschtal. We continue through the mixed forest until we reach the Fleckensteiner pond, here you can refresh yourself in the swimming lake. The varied cycle path leads past the campsite and the Froensbourg farm to the picturesque half-timbered village of Niedersteinbach/F. Here the tour continues on the D3 until we turn right onto the D190 towards Wengelsbach. Now it climbs steeply to the Götzenberg Pass, then the tour descends until we reach the small village of Wengelsbach/F. From Wengelsbach/F, an asphalt cycle path leads gently down through an idyllic forest to the starting point in Schönau.
